Chapter 3

I strongly agree with the authors thoughts in chpt. 3, if you want to utilize a blog in your classroom you must be comfortable with blogging yourself as the teacher.

Once there is a comfort level with the practice it is crucial that internet safety is understood by the students and monitored by the teacher. When these measures are used and respected, the weblog can be an exciting learning tool in the classroom :)

TRYING...

I am trying to post to the EDUC5575 class blog right now to no avail!! :( So I decided I could at least share my thoughts here... I am impressed with the teachers podcast on their classroom blog/ they are sharing info. re: the podcast text they are using.

Hitting the learning curve!!

I have now learned about wikis, podcasts and movie makers to name a few... This is incredible. Who knew that there were so many options and differentiated lesson possibilities to share with our students. I will be the first to admit, it was no easy task INITIALLY but I believe I am getting the hang of it now. With these options it could be possible to engage students on differing levels!!
